Reverb or delay?

What's your preference?

I was very much a delay guy until I picked up the Boss RV-6 about a year ago, love it. Have just been down to my guitar shack (while the Mrs watched Call The Midwife - I cannot stand that stupid program) and staked the RV-6 with the Tera Echo with a long low wash. Gorgeous!

I'm beginning to favour reverb over delay.

I've tried with delay ( Chrono, TC, Vahlbruch, Nemesis etc) but for me I prefer Reverb and with my Benado Adverb if I add the shimmer setting it's like a subtle delay. I find that I have to turn a  delay's  level down so much that it's not worth having on.
That said, the Nemesis is awesome, especially with the app feature where you get to try other user's settings

Nemesis is only going to improve with the new desktop app, that'll make things easier to access.

I'm not much of a reverb user and if the amp has it I'll just dial in a bit to take the edge off the room. Love delay though, but use it sparingly. I have two delays on each of my boards, one for adding a bit of ambience here and there, and one set more in your face with tap tempo for certain songs.

I'm a delay guy, but in my new band I think it's a bit lost tbh. 

I might try a touch of onboard 'verb to thicken the sound a bit. 

its been a looooooong time since I tried to play a solo without delay, I think maybe 1994??
