Open Back Headphones

I use Audio Technica ATH M40x closed back headphones for recording, but can anyone suggest a decent open back pair for mixing......flat sounding with no bass enhancements for around £100 ?

I've got some AKG K240 MkII's which are semi-open and do a good job. There's a slight bass hump in the upper bass frequencies, and a little bit of top rolled off..

But, I believe the 600ohm Monitor version is very flat response and could do the job you're after. They are comfy with a self adjusting band and under your budget

    Scrub that, they've been discontinued!

  • I recently got some Beyerdynamic DT880 Pros, they're over budget new though. They're fairly flat with a bit of increased treble that presents cymbals a little forward, but otherwise I think they're good.

In terms of frequency response this site is useful - http://graphs.headphone.com/
