Is this a cunning back up plan?

Right. I'm looking for a fall back position for when you pitch up for the gig and your 100w amp fails. But it must be as small and portable as possible with minimum rejigging everything (otherwise it just won't get packed). So @thomasw88 suggested the ZT lunchbox. Looks perfect. Can put it via the PA and use the internal speaker to monitor. Then i thought the acoustic version might be even more practical. It has an effects loop, reverb, takes a mic and has a second channel and is still rated at 200W. I read somewhere that it is designed to accommodate a wide range of pick up/ input levels. So....
Is there a good reason not to play electric ( with pedals) via this amp?
Will volume be lost?
Is there an 'at least as good' alternative that is one box, teensy and simple as owt e.g. a Sansamp type pedal ( but how would you hear it!?). Bear in mind it'll only be used in an emergency.

    Couple a Sansamp/Mooer/AMT type pedal with an EHX Magnum.

    I'm assuming you had some sort of speaker with you anyway...

    The Magnum is just a pedal sized power amp. Feed it to the speaker in your cab/combo.

    By the way, despite their 200w claim those ZT amps really aren't that loud.

    They're fine for a backup. Ive done the pedal amp simulation thing through a pa before and it was a right faff  cos you need to set up a monitor mix blah blah. It also sounded fecking awful. The zt lunchbox is pretty loud and you can stick a line out into the pa as well or plug it into a cab.  It sounds decent enough and for a small amp/cab solution it's the best I found. It also takes pedals ok.

    A bigger solid state amp is better ie fender frontman or orange cr amp, but then you end up lugging two amps around.

    Ah no - I've gone for a light 2by12 combo. My amp guy advised against modding it so it could be used as a cab too. So ideally I'm looking for a one box solution.

    ...I guess a Sans Amp pedal via the pa could be fed to the stage wedge along with the vocals - would it be a faff to balnce the vloumes?

    What about one of those two notes Le Clean/ Le Crunch pedals direct to PA?

    I've actually just bagged the ZT lunch box. 200w and can send also it to the PA. Perfect solution as suggested by @thomasw88 ;
