Here it is:



DW Collectors Black Nickel over Brass 14x6.5".
I fancied something that was a bit darker than my aluminium Ludwigs.
I had this side by side to a Black Beauty and preferred the DW- better hardware and strainer.
The 3 position butt plate and magnetic throw are a work of genius.

Oh and it is to go with this:



DW Collectors in Ruby Sparkle- 22x18, 16x14, 14x12, 12x9, 10x8, 8x8.

I don't take a very good photo, especially as I had to use a flash.
Best of a kit though- sounds as big as my other one, even though I have slightly shallower floor toms.
Definitely going to make this the 'gigging kit' and use the white one just for recording.
Very happy.

DW is my dream kit. So far, I've only got a DW drum pedal and hi-hat stand... but it's a start.

I love DW- they make amazing drums.
I'm already thinking about a 3rd DW- in Burnt Orange Glass 24x18, 13x9, 161x16 sizes.
I'm also about to buy a Super Solid snare, which is one of the best ideas in drum development in recent times.
 
I've had Gretsch, Tama, Pearl and Ludwig gear as well and DW just do it for me.
I know why some people don't like they- they are very expensive compared to other brands but I like the engineering and I love how the drums sound a size bigger than they are.

Drum shop of choice is Graham Russell in Fareham- they are excellent.
Bell Percussion in Acton are very good too.

If you are looking for a new DW kit then go to http://www.ukdrumdeals.co.uk and get one from them- they are importing them outside the usual dealer network but I have had great success with them and saved about £1500 on a kit.
I've bought my Zildjian Keropes from them too- they are £150 cheaper per cymbal.
