New tailored shirt day. I was fed up with Tyrwhitt et al sending me circus tents so sent off my measurements to Tailor Store, along with my choice of fabrics, cuff style, button, button thread, blah blah blah.

Some weeks later my shirt has arrived. It is amazing, in that it actually fits. All the way 'round. A bit more cash than the premade stuff that doesn't fit, but much better. And lots and lots of options.

I've had a few shirts get to the end of their natural life recently, so I'm planning on ordering one new one a month. Might add a centimetre to the neck - sorry @Evilmags ...

I can also heartily recommend British Boxers.

I'm not sure I understand the question.

    I need some new shirts.

The off-the-peg ones are like tents with a collar.

This one fits perfectly and I got to choose many aspects of it.

Having had a good experience, I intend to acquire more.

I thought that others might be interested.

    Does that help?

Sprocket is a pastoral breed, not a hound.

Also it's a blue check, which is completely inappropriate for wearing in the country.

I have resorted to spending more on shirts these days. I work in an office which is attached to our production facility (factory in imperiel measurement). But I have a large neck (19"+) so most off the peg shirts with that size collar come with a marquee frame and tent pegs. So I often wear Supermarket suits bought at £50-100 and shirts of similar value. Then the suit gets snagged/greasy etc. it gets recycled, but I get to feel comfortable and only wear better suits for off site meetings.
    @Sporky your post intigues me.

I did but the antibiotics cleared it up.

The prices vary by fabric, everything else is included (apart from matching handkerchief at £5.95 IIRC).

They go from £49 to £109 including post. My experience thus far is that they did exactly what they said they would. You even get update photos.

I have a Hound, a Sight Hound and a retriever, but no desire to buy shirts if this type.

I refuse to go go to the shops and ask for a copy of "& Hound"

What are your preferences for cuffs and pocket?
I like the standard button cuffs and these days I've ditched the front pocket.

My boss told me "dress for the job you want, not the job you have"... now I'm sat in a disciplinary meeting dressed as Batman.

Bah I can't be bothered to spend 50 quid plus on a shirt any more.

I'm inside it, I don't need to know what it looks like, it's the people outside it who see and they can puke off.

I like single cuff with button, and I quite like the bevelled option this bunch offer.

I only like pockets on casual shirts.

These start at £49 including shipping, so you're OK. From a sample of one I'd rather spend this on a shirt that fits me really well than a bit less on one that doesn't; that you get to choose lots of aspects of how it looks (without extra cost) is a bonus.

OK I'll agree on one thing... a tiny pocket for guitar picks would be the ultimate geekout.

It would be called... the Pick Pocket. (I'll get me coat.)

Whereas, I like a baggy shirt - covers a multitude of sins involving chocolate and drink.  Brooks Brothers work for me as I buy a size too big in their slimmer fit - not slim - and its perfect.  Expensive though.

Nice shirt too but needs a pocket.

I was waiting for some uncouth person to demand a pocket.
