And SOLD

I had this of @streethawk ;;;last May, great spec and nicely lightly reliced, and good assembly and setup but I simply haven't used it much so funds and space being at a premium time to move it on. Happy to break even so £260 posted PPG etc

Streethawk's original writeup follows and hopefully he won't mind me borrowing his pics (it hasn't left the house in the time I've had it and is as I received it). The original FS thread and build thread.

The only slight issue is the tone and volume pots could do with tightening to the control plate a little bit more but due to the ageing of the hardware I can't shift the knobs' grubscrews and didn't fancy a guitar smelling of WD40 so I've left it as is – it's very minor but worth mentioning.

Original write up:

(Has a round string tree now, not butterfly)

Bareknuckle '55 stagger
Eldred Mod wiring with Sprague NOS & Mojotone pio caps.
CTS/mojotone custom vintage taper 250k pots. CRL switch.
Allparts Candy Tangerine MIJ body
Allparts MIJ rosewood neck, rattle can nitro relic. (9.5 radius, C profile)
Fender brass saddle bridge
Kluson single line tuners
Bakelite guard finished in nitro & reliced
Aged slot head screws and hardware.

Fallaway added to upper frets, all frets are spotless and polished.
Neckplate is slightly off centre due to one hole being slightly off - purely cosmetic.

Sounds frankly ace but I have more builds coming up and need holiday cash quick.

Isn't it, too nice to leave sitting in a gigbag.

I reunited a D18GE with its previous owner last week, I'll start feeling like Cilla on Surprise Surprise at this rate!

Would like to point out I've since massively upgraded the laminate flooring in those pics.

Quick question - is the orange finish nitro on this?

    No.
It's not a thick, syrupy poly though

Definitely not. It's like a dulled down lacquer.
Just noticed the bit about the sticking grub screws on the knobs: I'll supply a new set of aged ones for whoever buys it (if I don't buy it).

That's decent of you, thank you. To be fair I've only tried with a jeweller's screwdriver so far so they may be retrievable with a bit more torque and perhaps a little penetrating oil.

Thanks. Chaps, what the thickness of the neck like - clubby or more of a thin C?

In-between I'd say, not skinny but not baseball bat either.
