Perhaps this piece of logic will help you decide:
You can still stab someone with a (pointy) guitar but you can't play Unchained by Van Halen with a sword.

I somehow doubt there will be huge selection of pointy guitars......

I can bring my Puretone Stack if required (I think Photek fancied having a go with it at one point).

looks like i should be able to make it so gear wise i shall bring a small selection of guitars (PRS SC245, Framus Street walker, 1965 melody maker, Haar strat) my pedal board and the Z-wreck possibly the swart if anybody fancies trying it

Excellent @Scatterbrain - these things tend to be more about gear-chat rather than gear-play, although there should be an opportunity for some loosely organised playing too.
