It's funny you tagged me in this thread again @ChrisMusic - just last night I was trying to learn the Toto tune Jake To The Bone.  The riffs aren't that hard, but there is a 7/8 section and I am having problems getting it under my fingers!  Steve Lukather plays a D note on the second beat and if I can hit that with the snare I'm OK and can feel my way though the rest of the bar, but if I miss it I'm screwed!

Can you fix that vid link? Cheers
Roland said: Scales are primarily a tool for categorising knowledge, not a rule for what can or cannot be played.
Supportact said: [my style is] probably more an accumulation of limitations and bad habits than a 'style'.

Thanks @viz , broke it when I edited the post, I should have known better !

    Trade secret...
That's why I post the video link below the video itself, with a space after the https: so that it doesn't register as a link properly to the forum software.  That allows anyone to access the video via the address bar, and for me to easily fix this sort of (self inflicted) problem.  Copy, paste, delete the space, and the universal balance returns to normal, SNAFU  ;)

What Makes John Bonham Such a Good Drummer?

I thought that this was quite a good fit for this thread.
I have also always been in awe of the power in John Bonham's playing.
