Does anyone have experience of using the Yousician App ?

As part of my New Year I want to learn to play the electric guitar again after about a 25 year break..

Its this a good way to go?

'Less is more' or is it 'more is less?'

I'd go with JustinGuitar (https://www.justinguitar.com/) instead.

The fact that Yousician ads interrupt just about every YouTube guitar vid I've watched over the past year is enough for me to not want to give them any money.

The beginning is so slow and frustrating...

I will second Justin Guitar. Great place to start and a useful resource even after several years of playing.

    Annoying name and annoying ads!

I wouldn't recommend going that route personally, not that I know anything about it. there are so many help resources out there these days, it's pretty easy to find good free help/info if you have t'interweb

    +1 on both counts!
Always be yourself! Unless you can be Batman, in which case always be Batman.
My boss told me "dress for the job you want, not the job you have"... now I'm sat in a disciplinary meeting dressed as Batman.

That ad really gives me the urge to smash that acoustic guitar over the guy's head...

Justin Guitars is the one to go for, starting with his beginner's course, interspersed with his beginner's song lessons to make it more fun and less of a chore.

Justin's Youtube channel has over half a million subscribers for a reason.

  • Justin Guitar. He's excellent and ( rightly ) held in high regard by guitarists :)

Have you seen the bass ad? He looks even more confused than surf acoustic man. To unlock it you have to watch bass videos on YouTube for a while. Targeted ads..
