Finally, the celebrity endorsement that these great guitars have been needing.

Now they can't fail to get the recognition that they deserve ...

The guitar is a KS12XL.  The bass is a KB10 "Sleekline".

    I'm convinced!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

    *ouch*

By bizarre coincidence, I got to play my first Kawai yesterday - not sure what model, if only there was a helpfilled website I could look it up on - and it was really rather lovely...

It was an arch top with the world's collection of nickel coloured knobs...

In fact rather like this one:

    http://www.kawaiguitars.com/Owners_Gallery/Jan-archtop.jpg

But with two HBs instead of 3, 4 knobs instead of six in the normal place and a more cherry coloured finish.

The circular holes shown on the one on your site near the violin holes each had another, matching, knob on it, which looked original, though all any of the knobs seems to do was act as a master volume. So I guess the wiring is buggered. The headstock is really ornate, like an oversized Gretsch one with a lot of MOP.

The new owner is a pilot and bought it in Singapore last week for.......£9

I'll get some fotos if you want
