Nice. Although Fender prices are increasing from what I've seen. Up to 10%.

It is. I still wish they'd reissue the LPB one though.

Fender prices are really messed up now. These used to be £399, that's a price increase of £230 about 58%.

    It's just a Baja with a Classic 50s body.

I was just thinking, these don't seem that different to the original Baja which were significantly cheaper...

  • I miss my Baja... To be honest, I like that finish, but it's not going to beat butterscotch with a nice grain. Was hoping for some other changes with SpecialRun, but... Pickups are great, no sense with changing those, vintage saddles, v neck... Nothing to upgrade apart from common hardware for better quality one (tuners, jack socket). I didn't use S1 switching too much, but doesn't bother me that it's there. Overall great guitars... Miss it... :/

I love mine.  I agree the jack socket could do with replacing, but have had no problem with my tuners!  I could drop mine off the roof and it would still be in tune.

Can hardly blame fender for milking this model, its one of the best guitars they make. :)

If you think 629 quid is a lot for a Baja, take a look at the butterscotch and sunburst models. They're now 665 quid.

Why buy a brand new one anyway? They regularly come up on here for less than £400, and frequently in the much more desirable (IMHO) butterscotch. :)
