What's the pedal next to the polytune?
    I reckon it's a BYOC Overdrive 2.

    R.
It's a @ThorpyFX "Ultimate Tubescreamer". I'm a lucky sod for getting hold of it before Thorpy's other stuff kicked off properly

Knobs are as follows: Top left = boost volume. Top right = OD volume, Middle bottom is OD gain, Bottom right is tone

    Switches- top = bass response
Switches- Bottom = clipping options loudest = no clippers, second loudest = led clippers, quietest = stock.

The bottom right footswitch is the on/off for the overdrive side/ the bottom left FS is the On/Off for the boost side.

It kind of negates the need for the FZ2 on the end (which I'm using for a boost), but I like the pedal so just leaving it on the board for now.

I might actually end up with the FZ2 first in the chain, then I can get some nice fuzz tones. I want to get a Dynowriter thingy and label the pots (a la Cornish).

EDIT: Looking at the BYOC Overdrive 2 link you posted, maybe it is a Thorpy built version of those? Either way it's very very good.

Muff into tremolo into klone into rat clone into lunar module clone sounds so good to me right now.

Only playing this rig through headphones .. need to fire up that amp rather soonish

Its in line with the edit, I have built BYOC stuff in the past, Its how i cut my teeth and tbh they are really great kits that are well thought out.

Looks a smart pedal + I like the idea of putting the FZ2 first in the chain- doo eeet :)

@samzadgan ;I'm unfamiliar with much of that stuff, my board looks like vanilla ice-cream by comparison. Any chance of a video demo?

Oh mate; was that the Echo4Four gig? They're my buddies and I was at that show. You were the guy with the Les Paul and Jet City, right? Your band was epic and the tones were great!

Ha ha yes - thats me there, good to see another point of view from the audience! So pleased we sounded good, that was our second gig... We are Bad Blood Recovery - Sean on vocals and Alex on drums used to be in Domes of Silence and Jimmy on lead guitar along with Dave the bass were in Komrad. Definitely up for more gigs with local bands, drop me a line if you anything in mind you think we might be a good fit for.

How did the fuzz sound? to me it sounds HUGE - but I may be biased!!

@voxmanjohn Metro 24 - just about the right size between compact and outright madness! Recommended!

  • Almost all change again now I have the Mark 1 Boogie:

EQ is just there if needed, but so far I haven't. The "Ultimate Tubescreamer" (one with tape on it) has switchable bass, so it helps remove any farty-ness. The Riot helps give a tight modern distortion into a clean sound.

Only thing I fancy is an SL Drive pedal, but right now I don't really need it.

Might put the Delay and EQ in the loop, but it would be a bit of a faff.

Minor changes namely I think I finally "get" and want a compressor, gives me four gain stages easily switched flip-flop stylee form the Gigrig. Will try something more esoteric in time but the Marshall Ed is surprisingly good, for the money it's amazing.. Hotch potch of cables at the mo but will get some custom jobbies made up, I've fallen out with Solderless.

I keep thinking about replacing my Ed the compressor but it's a great pedal. My only complaint about it is the user interface (didn't want to say knobs).
    Don't touch that dial.

Pickle Vibe arrived Friday, fitted to the board yesterday afternoon, gigged last night. Lovin' it :)
