Having had some time with the Curbow on a strap, it's a lot lighter than I first thought, and very comfortable to play even when quite high up on a short strap length.
    Bathroom scales, bathroom scales!!!

    Fair enough ;)

I started a discussion on Basschat and there's been some interesting responses so far. One that has piqued my interest is the Yamaha RBX4 A2 - which seems to come in at a flat 7lbs - full scale, full size body - J style pups and FLASHY LIGHTS!!!!

I do need a J in my collection but can't bring myself to buy a Fender - I've hated every one I've played so far.

    Hhhhhmmmmmm....

The RBXs definitely are lightweight, hence the comparison to my RBX270.
