Help please what's this scale

What's Hot
What scale would be basically a major scale with a minor 6th and minor 7th, or flat 6 and flat 7?

Mixolydian b6, or Mixolydian b13 (same mode with a different name)
It is the 5th mode of melodic minor.

Ok thanks, I've been messing round with an A major chord and sharpening the 3rd and 5th. That was the scale that was fitting over it

Exactly. It's also sometimes known as the Hindu scale, which is a good name if you are playing Eastern-inspired music. If you are playing it in the classical style as the 5th mode of melodic minor, probably the best name for it is Aeolian dominant, because that's what it's for. But Mixolydian b6 is cool.
