Bit of a favour to ask to the other attendees...

Would it be possible for me to borrow someones pride and joy for 'Beat it'? Its being played in E Flat, and my trem loaded guitar is shit for anything other than E Standard at the moment. Its my first guitar with a trem and im not yet comfortable adjusting it (new toy, don't want to hurt/upset it).

The plan is to get myself another hardtail so that I have the option, but this isn't happening yet.

Ill be gentle I promise. You can obviously tell me to beat it...

    ...see what I did there?

Hang on...I'm confused. From the key list, isn't it being played a semitone up from the record, so same fingering but tuned to E?

    Yes you are.

    Yes it's all good.
I've marked the songs that were recorded in Eb for reference only.
On the day you'll play them in E std.

When we do the northern jam, will the songs be played in E ...by gum ? ;)
We have to be so very careful, what we believe in...

Unless it's in Liverpool in which case you'll have to play in A.

So does that mean if we had a jam in Wales if would all be played in A miner?

Or alternatively, after the pit prop accident, that would be in A flat miner

    D for cate
    E for brick
    F for vessent
    G for police

Ok- regarding "Sunshine of your Love".

The drums in this track have a weird off kilter feel to them that in my experience only manages to confuse things.
It is because Ginger is playing the snare on the 1.
I won't be doing that on the day- I'll play something more conventional so we all know where the 1 is and I'll try to cue the sections changes for people too.

I've been practicing along to the recording, I hope I don't screw it up even more than expected then :)

  • Final running order - anyone can jump in on the day where there are guitar gaps - just ask me and I'll see what the slots are like

There's only one person on the reserve list...

     @Brocco ;
If you can make it today, head to the studio and sort everything else out when you get there.
