The messages are threaded (like discussions), so the ones you sent will appear in their respective threads. :)
They are more like private discussions, as opposed to the usual message format we are used to in other forums.
Not sure this helps me find it - how do I find the respective thread?

I just click 'hide' on the FX section in the classifieds. How do I unhide it please?

Click "all categories" and there will be an option to unhide.

I have a feeling keeping @photek from pedal classifieds might create some kind of tear in the space time continuum.

Nothing in my inbox.  I was mucking around after I sent it and it was there at that time.  Can only assume it's been inadvertently deleted - is that possible?  Or could recipient have deleted it? (It was expressing an interest in a classified item that was subsequently flagged as sold so I'm assuming someone beat me to the punch).

How do I get the post number for a particular contribution, I particularly want to quote / point to a resource in another discussion, or to be able to return to a point in a discussion later on.
Also is there anyway to access a user to send a PM etc if they are not online right now, or if you can't find a post for them?
Is there an accessible list of users?  (that would cover the point above too.)  Thanks

    Thanks for that, nice one.
I have also seen it in the "blah said: 12345:" at the beginning of quotes, like above but with the post number, how did they do that?

Any ideas about my other point?

Thanks, let me know if it works, it probably has plus and minus points, but I recon it would be a useful feature for us all. :)

back on the 'smilee' thing.......... sometimes when you use the characters to make the smilee they work, and sometimes they dont.
Use the exact same chrs as is displayed by the GUI drop down selector............but they just display the chrs ??
just because you don't, doesn't mean you can't
just because you do, doesn't mean you should.

    Interesting. We will investigate.

Just to keep you all posted, work is in progress on the next release of the site, but we're building it in a test environment rather than tweaking as we go. In the hope that this means nothing breaks!

    I've had the same problem.
Having trouble posting images here?  This might help.

*And for me even using the menue ones sometimes work and sometimes don't, (just get chrs).
Sometimes onthe line of text, sometimes start a new line below.
If I try to delete the 'cr' the same *above happens.
And I can't get them to work at all on any other line in the text, apart from the last.
I don't know enough to make anything but a mess using the script editor.
Not the end of the world, but it would be nice if it was predictable.
Anyhoo I don't even know how to use most of them   :-S
