Just saw this on fretmeister's facebook feed....very shocked.

Saw his stand-up show a few times years back (when I was at Uni, so pre '97)...and we actually watched the first couple of "Sean's Show" episodes on All4 the other week.

As that's younger than me - yes!

I remember him from Buzzcocks, his own show, popping up on cooking programmes doing vegetarian dishes and MrsTheWeary followed him on Twitter; he was in the small group of people she finds sufficiently entertaining to bother with.

Funny, entertaining guy. A real shame. No-one seems to be reporting what he died of... Apparently he went into hospital recently and then this sad news. Very odd.

Cirrhosis of the liver then a heart attack, it said in the Evening Standard.

Very sad, I really liked his old C4 show and the early days of Buzzcocks. Hadn't seen him on anything for years, although I gather he was on Coronation Street for a while.
