that bridge is so cheapo-wrong it would have to go, but rest of it gives me golden feelings.

edit; just checked out the website and they have phantoms and teardrops with jaguar trems, and 12 string phantoms with stoptail/tunomatic bridges, so maybe picture above is an earlier run.

why do you say the bridge is so wrong? looks like Brians to me, ie Strat type bridge. They changed the design of the VTX64 last year. I must prefer the earlier version I have.

Brians,  bridge looks similar to me, but I am no expert, what do you think it should be?

thanks for the info kt66. i have to concede to your expertise on that one. good call.

in my defence i can only say tha all those voxes i have coveted over the years, teardrops and phantoms, have been bigsbys, or other vox mutant tremolos (starstream 'palm tremolo' is freakin' weird). though having just goggled a few teardrops i see they used to have those funny ashtray chrome covers on, so maybe those i saw with the strat-style bridges were hidden by them.

for example, that body-popping crooner dude from Joy Division.

bridgewise my preference is for through-body first, or classic tunomatic, but i think i would even rather have a vox-style bigsby with arm removed (to remove temptation to use) than one of those strat-type ones. they just look wrong. too small and tinny cheap looking. even if they are right.
maybe it's because they leave such an empty expanse of guitar wood 'ass' behind them.
i noticed the revelations have jaguar trems now which might be an interesting option.

what's your opinion of the rest of yours? build quality? neck profile? tone? wearabilty?

I’d never heard of Revelation guitars till yesterday, Dave Simpson posted this review of an RJT60 Qaud with four single coil pickups and Jag style switching. He likes it, a lot!

    https://youtu.be/89N2NijLIek

Seems like a hell of a lot of guitar for three hundred quid!

I love it, it's the best Brian Jones copy I have played, and for build quality I'd put it up against any Italian Vox, and a lot of UK ones. Not sure about the zero fret, but I can live with. Sounds like a Tele, which I believe is was Brian was after.
Revelation have now changed this model so it looks like a nasty 90s Vox, and little like Brian Jones'

As a player, my RVJT is better, the Teardrops biggest draw back is not being able to play it sitting down without a strap

Even more guitar for the money if you pick up a used one!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

Brian Jones's was a prototype I believe, the bridge was a Strat one as they had one lying around (I think I read that in the massive Stones Gear book)

Maybe it is  who knows, though he does say at the start that he's going to buy one, but his enthusiasm come across as genuine. He has been so enthusiastic about his Vintage Lemon Drop for well over a year, rating it better than may Les Pauls, and is still playing it in his videos, you can see it in the background on the Revelation vid.  His videos are effective whatever they are as I bought an Orange CR60 based on his demos of the CR120 and I am on the verge of buying a Lemon Drop myself!

I've never thought any of his other videos were but he mentions they sent it to him, possibly just for a genuine review.  I don't think he would say it was good if it was awful but he may dress up the gushing a bit.  Apologies if you are Dave : )

Yes maybe. He is endorsed by Vintage but seems to genuinely love the Lemon Drop.

Have Orange signed him up? I bet there have been quite a few CR120 purchases as a result of his channel

I am not Dave! But I wish I had his guitar collection.
