Pelham blue 339 and a reminder that kids grow up fast...

What's Hot
markblackmarkblack Frets: 1590
3 years ago I decided to give my little lad a Pelham Blue 339 that I had - one of a 100 seemed like a cool thing he can stick a floyd rose on later in life or trade for a Playstation 12 :)

This was him with it aged not very much.

And now he's 3... madness. Might still wait a couple of years until he gets to properly get his mitts on it. But it was nice to see him into it, especially when he realised it was his :)

Time does indeed fly.

Wow, that's brilliant - great choice of guitar too!
I hope that you're 'keeping it in working order' for him through regular playing - everyone knows that guitars go stale and mouldy if not played at full volume on regular occasion ;-)

My boss told me "dress for the job you want, not the job you have"... now I'm sat in a disciplinary meeting dressed as Batman.

  • That’s a lovely guitar, sure you are looking after it well for your son.

I’ve almost got this in reverse. My daughter was born ten days ago, after calling the new grandparents to let them know she had arrived I quickly checked my email for the first time in 24hours. Sat there in my inbox was a congratulations from reverb.com -I’d just won the ‘67 Gretsch Tennessean! It was not only the icing on the cake but also played into the months of hearing about birth gifts for new mums to which I’d always given the stock reply ‘no problem, is baby bringing me a guitar too’? Seems she was!

NGD by the end of the week.

I'm sorry, but the kid is clearly a fake.

Clearly there's not much point in him having at the minute, he's far too small. I'll gladly keep it safe for him for a couple of years til he's ready, free of charge. I'd hate think of it sitting idle for that long!  ;)

That's brilliant - I play now because my dad encouraged me first with piano then guitar. That was 40 years ago...

The 339 on him looks like a 335 on an adult :-)
