That Champagne Sparkle relic Telecaster is calling me.

  • Nice gear - if you were thinking of buying some. I'd like both of the Memphis 175s ...
"Working" software has only unobserved bugs. (Parroty Error: Pieces of Nine! Pieces of Nine!)
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself

That looks great.  It might be calling me too were it not for the Mid '60s Oval C neck profile.

    I'm safe.

The only way I could do it would be a 'Cabinet Reshuffle' and I played them all last night.
    They're all great.
There's nothing I can think of (consciously) that I'd trade any or some of them for even if it *is* on Coda's website and it's only 50 minutes to get there and doug would do trade-in so I could probably get that thing I saw if I wanted.......which I DON'T!!!
    Really I don't, no......I mean it.....

    *Inhaler*

The acronym at the start of the thread title needs editing to read PHW.........'Public Health Warning'
    ;)

    Precisely.
    Doug doesn't sell Jem's.
    Good point well made.

    I'll just stop looking.

    It says "Girl Guitars"

Presumably it is Daisy Rock's tag line.

It's funny, 10 years ago it was seen as a bold and positive move to make guitars aimed at women (remember those Gibson Goddess models, too).

Now it would probably be regarded as offensive pandering to outmoded gender stereotypes.

Hmm, not sure even 10 years ago such a pink and sparkly website would have been welcomed by most forward-thinking women.  Certainly it's outmoded now, as you said, their home page made me wince!

Thing is, Daisyrock was founded by a woman with the aim of getting young girls into playing guitar. So the sparkly colours and twee shapes are very deliberately targeting the My Little Pony aesthetic, but they're also perfectly decent instruments (some balance/playing sitting down issues aside).

Still, it's ironic that there are plenty of men willing to mansplain to the woman founder that she's wrong and sexist. ;)

  • Where have all these Gibson Les Paul Studio 2016's that everyone is flogging off appeared from? £799 is pretty tempting.
