Double cut junior build with dual foil

I don't know why I never made a double cut junior sooner because I bloody love the thing, this is all limba loosely vintage based like old fret scale, body and neck dimensions but I wanted something different
my plan was to do a Pelham blue finish with a mojo dual foil pickup that I can split coil, I've had to wait to see if the pickup will direct mount or if I have to route the pickup cavity

I made the neck with a vintage spec truss rod with maple filler strip, I used a pre radiused and slotted Indian rosewood board which was to cheat time but didn't work out any quicker because it was too thick, won't bother doing that again

I like the look of this, especially with the finish and pickup choice.

Do you need some dimensions for the pickup?  it is very shallow and I would expect it to surface mount without issues assuming you are using a wraptail.

I tapered the board to fit the neck and pin it in a couple of places through the dot markers then glue it on, I use hot hide glue because I like it but you've got to work very quick, I use a very thick rubber band instead of clamps and it works great, I also use it for bindings too
Here it is bound up and I glued the neck in at the same time

Thanks wez, yes I looked at dimensions, pickup should be here friday
I'm using a mojoaxe wraparound, this thing is bloody good plays straight out the box with no fret dress yet, I'll be making more of these dc styles with different specs, very light and comfortable too

I got a basic set up done with a temporary nut and action about where I want it, I used a trapeze to set the mojoaxe wraparound up, I also clamp down the trapeze to get a bigger break angle over the adaptation then I set intonation mark it drill for bushings and hope it's right
I only use the bloody long vintage bushings, they're 30mm long, especially in limba as it's quite soft,  don't want any leaning posts ever thanks

That's seriously cool! Are you still planning on Pelham blue, or are you going to show off that lovely limba?
Always be yourself! Unless you can be Batman, in which case always be Batman.
My boss told me "dress for the job you want, not the job you have"... now I'm sat in a disciplinary meeting dressed as Batman.

I do enough vintage correct stuff and I'm not doing juniors unless someone's paying

I've also got an original 58 tv model basket case to restore, that's where the specs came from
