Highlights of a recent live BBC thing I did with The Wife. Still a bit miffed I managed to hurriedly UNtune my guitar during the last song, but you live and learn!

Bit of drum porn for any drummers here too - that's an original 1954 Ludwig kit.

I’ve been trying to get MrsTheWeary on The Quay Sessions but they said they don’t think there is an “audience” for a short, fat 52 year old woman playing the spoons between her knees. Bloody BBC elitists.

I like what I’ve seen on the iPlayer of The Quay Sessions ( the recent The Selecter one is highly recommended) but I hadn’t seen this. Many Wows deserved.

  • Thank you! It just went up tonight. We did it a few weeks ago. Great fun. Not exactly the "guitariest" gig I've ever done, but a great band to play with. Our keyboard player played Live Aid, bizarrely enough

Really enjoyed that, @StuartMac290 . Good to see the Columbia out in the wild too. Ps. You're punching :0)

  • Cheers! Louise was using the Columbia for her Gretsch (which is mixed frustratingly low - she's the main guitar) and I was using the 3rd Power British Dream, which is the best gigging amp I've ever played.

I was recording the crowd last night and then had to drop the phone to play a chord, but someone picked it up just in time to catch my solo on Jump, which I’m really happy about

(I think we were doing it a tad fast however, and there’s a bit of dad-dancing at the end unfortunately)

Usually just if you’ve posted a video then edited the post it stops working. So, just repost it will probably be fine .

    [ I could have added that before couldn’t I?]

Awesome - that’s gorgeous! Unusual not to see you not centre-stage but very tastefully played!

Here’s another snippet from last week, of Walk This Way - sadly cut short mid-flow!
