I am listening to Exes and Ohs by Elle King a bit lately, must listen to something else to see if she is any good or got lucky.  While cooking sunday lunch I listened to my old stuff by the Sundays,  Lovely band.

The first two Joe Jackson albums. It's almost 40 years since I bought "Look Sharp" and I still get a thrill from listening to it.

Joe is a bit like Richard Thompson in that for some strange reason he isn't a superstar.

    Blank Parody

I met the singer and the guitarist at open mike last night. Really nice lads and the singer has a brilliant voice for rock. Obviously with just the two of them they had to strip the songs back to their bare essentials.

One day I'm going to make a guitar out of butter to experience just how well it actually plays.

Rinoa. Up there with Rosetta for heavy-but-pretty. I still don't know why I don't mind the vocals.
