I'm trying to decide whether I would use the extra features of the Roland SE-02 enough to justify buying that, or whether I could manage with the Behringer... mainly it's just the memory locations that I'd miss, I think.

At least I've got another couple of months before I decide. Of course, the Roland depends on my selling stuff as well, so...

  • The roland has had mixed reviews.. thin sounding, too small and not great build quality are the criticism I've seen.

Still would like to try one though.

If we are not ashamed to think it, we should not be ashamed to say it.

Probably should have clarified I meant the Behringer, not the Roland.

I still have my Creamware Minimax ASB. Its control panel is more compact than a real Minimoog but still leaves room to grasp individual controls without resorting to forceps or chopsticks.

I've never tried it, but the demos sound excellent.  The Behinger is a little cosy but even with my comedy sausage fingers it's completely manageable.

What will be interesting is how long it lasts.  I've actually had no issues with any of the Behringer products I've owned, but clearly others have.

It is some sort of modeller. Not as good as a genuine vintage piece but close enough to make the hairs on the back of the neck stand up in a way that ROMpler synthesizers and some plug-ins fail to do.
    Be seeing you.
