Minor light relic or not?
Then you don't get to excuse any "features" as deliberate
Pickup covers are white and a bit knackered:
I am going to keep them, and might get them rewound. I'm hoping the Preamp will give them a better voicing, but either way, the covers are grim. All the hardware etc will be chrome/satin or black. So - covers resprayed black or some other colour?
I'm not exactly being "exacting" with this - more quick and dirty.
I am aiming for a bass that if I put it on eBay, @HarrySeven would start a thread and link to it here
In that case, you shoulda painted it white, used gold hardware and, as the pièce de résistance, snapped off the headstock.
Snapping the headstock off might be a relic step too far

I’d do that with ANY guitar you post for sale!

Never take photos closer than 1 metre
If you don't have a filter gel holder, just smear Vaseline onto the bass.
It'll be quite rough - it certainly won't be my best paint job, that's for sure. Mostly cos it's flipping freezing in the shed. Next time there's a winter project I'm doing oil.
Nitro spraying from cans is summer only.
Never again. Bloody nightmare it is.
Errr, why? Looks OK in vaseline focus.
