Decal Removal

So I bought a nice Allparts neck on here some time ago. It has a Fender decal it which I wish to remove.

The decal appears to sit on top of the clear finish so what's the best way to remove it without damaging the finish underneath?

Yep, water unless it's been lacquered on - then gentle sanding is your only option.

Water will do it. Or if it is anything like my JM, just leave it a while and it will fall off! :-p

If it’s been thinly lacquered over then you might find that a cabinet scraper will crack off the top layer

You could try lightly scratching it with your fingernail to see if it comes off easily.
