    Here's the thing though....
    It'll have SC Humbucker(s) but I still can't decide.
    Esquire or Telecaster?

    single pickup.

if you are not allowing colour variation why should you get a tonal one ;)

    VERY good.

    Thanks Wez.
What about the Esquire tonal controls?

    3 way switch.....

1 - Blower - straight to the jack
2 - Through Volume and Tone controls
    3 - Onboard Fuzz?

If it's a HB then coil split with tone/vol?

    I prefer Killswitch.
Maybe modify it so the pos 3 is spring loaded or try to find one that's like that?

A split HB in the bridge won't have the sound I want.

You need to have a word with your fave pickup winder and see what might work ;)

  • I don't know if you could wire it with a three-way switch but a parallel mode on a mid-focused hot humbucker is a useful addition - can give something a bit more open and 'vintage-y'.

I have a half-sized 'mini guitar' with a single SD HotRails wired with a series/split/parallel switch and the parallel mode comes in very useful.

It’s a fuzz pedal that uses a ridiculously small number of parts for the circuit..

to give you an idea how small the circuit is the next pic is a 6x7 piece of vero

You could put the battery in the neck pup cavity and the fuzz circuit in the wiring channel.

you would need a dpdt mini toggle to turn the effect on and a small pot for the amount of fuzz... load of room for that in the main wiring cavity if you use mini pots throughout I reckon...

YouTube “bazz fuss”... its a nasty sounding circuit (in a good way)

Or an “em drive”? If you go for the non mojo version it’ll fit! You’d still need a mini toggle, pot and battery tho’
