So, for a complete change of mood, and it's not really a track either, just the most awesome guitar solo.
Thanks to @Teetonetal for reminding me of this by posting it in another thread recently.

Every time I come across this, I repeat play it over the coming days.  It is just exquisite.

Yeah, this video really turned me on to Steven Wilson in general.  I also saw it on here first time too. Off to see him on 7th Feb.

This solo though is beyond exceptional. For me, it's perfect. That whole album is fab.

My introduction to Steven Wilson, also via this forum, was the poignant Drive Home

This track has brought me to tears before now, and I don't cry easily.  What a video.

That guitar solo could tear your heart out !

This one has been stuck in my head a bit lately, their very first appearance on TV.

Changing circumstances lead me to a more pensive mood.

Japan performing 'Ghosts' from their 1981 album 'Tin Drum' on the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1982. Guest musician: Ryuichi Sakamoto

SORRY I didn't realise you have to go to YouTube to watch the OGWT version, so I've posted the album version below it.

    Two current favourites:

Was (Not Was), with Leonard Cohen, and Sonny Rollins. Robben Ford on guitar. Now _that_ is a lineup.

Band: Leonard Cohen (with Was Not Was and Sonny Rollins): Who By Fire.

Rollins (Bleeding Gums Murphy haircut, etc) is on fire. The band is amazing.

And Mark Lettieri, doing a solo version of a track from his last album:

    Band: Mark Lettieri, Song: Extraspecial

Guys! Will you please give the Band name, Song title and Album along with the videos. Some stuff posted here and on other threads is interesting, possibly worth following up. If I knew the Song title etc.

I have to use Shazam for info but I prefer to use it only for music that really interests me. Music on the radio for example.

Completely opposite to some of the tasteful and very classy stuff I've seen on this thread but it popped up on shuffle earlier and still makes me laugh.... Steel Panther - Just Like Tiger Woods.

I don't just listen to guitar music, and recently I've been loving UK rap and grime. Ocean Wisdom is amazing!
