Chaps and Chapesses!

My thinline 72 Tele needs to be tweaked into the snarling monster it was born to be.  The stock Fender wide ranges are ok, but as everyone knows they lack the uber-WOW factor and consequently they're being ditched.

I know there are a bunch of great winders on here and elsewhere but before going down that route I wondered whether anybody had any in their bits drawer going begging.  I suppose the ultimate would be a set of original 70's Seth Lovers, then perhaps some Telenators but I doubt I could afford either, and then after that Lollars or Novaks from the States or, better yet, Creamery, Mojo, Oil City or Alegree as I'd like to try some British pups if possible.

Anyone got any?

    About two years ago, somebody in France listed a NOS BNIB example, official replacement part, never been soldered into a guitar. Starting price c.£260 (i.e. 300 Euros.) I cannot recall the eventual selling price.

    I just this morning swapped to Mojo WRHBs in my Ranaldo so have the old Fender re-voiced reissues if you want to try them? 
    I honestly don't know how different they are from the normal Reissues though, if at all, might be a myth they were re-voiced at all.  Might be worth waiting for some proper ones to pop up.

    I just this morning swapped to Mojo WRHBs in my Ranaldo so have the old Fender re-voiced reissues if you want to try them? 
    I honestly don't know how different they are from the normal Reissues though, if at all, might be a myth they were re-voiced at all.  Might be worth waiting for some proper ones to pop up. 
    Have you ever considered a career in sales punches ? :-)

    Hah, maybe I should after such a great pitch just then. 

    But in all honesty I'd just rather he was happy with them and not disappointed if they're too similar.
