    Just saw his documentary on the bbc iplayer, very well done. And you have nailed it with that hypnotic little riff there. Is it in 9 or 19/8 or something? The documentary discussed how Tubular was a bar of 8 and a bar of 7 which kept listeners interested as it seems to stumble ...

    @edwn Cheers. I couldn’t you tell you the time signature. I’m self taught and a very ‘intuitive’ player, so much of the theory is beyond me tbh. I just thought to myself ‘hey, that’s kind of an Oldfield sounding rhythm.’ In a band situation I just let the drummer work it out. Haha!
