  I ended up opting for the EHX Super Pulsar. It's the only tremolo pedal most people would ever need. Probably a bit overkill for my use but can't bring myself to sell it on.

  Thanks for the replies everyone, some great suggestions. Has anyone tried the Surfy Industries SurfyTrem? Although its not tap tempo its all analog and sounds great to me from the couple of YouTube vids I've watched.

  I don't suppose anyone here's tried them as they're not a big company, but the Westminster Luther Tap Tremolo sounds really good based on the couple of youtube videos that exist

  Of all the ones I've tried the Fulltone Supatrem 2 is the most amp-like. I really love it.

  If you want a nice basic tremolo then the j.rad josh smith one is great. Sounds lovely and is switchable between two settings, which is very useful.
