  •  Continuing my metal phase:

Elder: Reflections of a Floating World (wow)
Fear Factory: Demanufacture, still a classic of it’s time.

Black Sites: In Monochrome. A random find, outstanding album with serious riffage

Live 'N' Kickin' Collector's Edition, Limited Edition, Original recording remastered

    West/Bruce/Laing

    CD received from Amazon yesterday.

Raucous, full of the joys of the open A-major chord (you know the one I mean x02220) on a HB equipped guitar through an overloading amplifier :3

Stuff I should have listened to 40 years ago but hadn't got around to 'cos I'd only just discovered Mountain.
Will definitely be getting some more of the same ...
"Working" software has only unobserved bugs. (Parroty Error: Pieces of Nine! Pieces of Nine!)
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself

    Earthless's new album "Black Heaven"

And no, it is not a black metal album even though the cover and the title/band name would have you believe... Psychedelic/stoner rock a-la The Sword et al.

There's a lot of instrumental parts but heh no issues there.

Downloaded it last night, loving it.

Also got Green Druid’s album, Ashen Blood. More on the doom side of stoner, heavy as hell.

I still find myself keeping on coming back to Judas Priest's new album Firepower. It's good stuff!! The singles are a bit average but the 'deeper' cuts make up for it.

Well, the last couple of days actually, Aaron Buchanan & The Cult Classics. Having seen them at HRH AOR and been impressed by their live performance, songs and the singer's voice and enigmatic performance, I thought I'd give this a whirl. I like them!

Random old shit on YouTube but several of The Dooleys. There’s a white bass that pops up quite a lot, fretless maple board. I think it’s a Shergold?

    Anyway, probably my favourite:

The whole EP is brilliant. Only stumbled upon it by chance on Spotify, but I love it.

Oh, and also this track. What a chorus.

#1 by Big Star. I have listened to it before but only this time am I really getting and appreciating it. As a big Teenage Fanclub fan, yes I can see the influence. Great songs. I've been learning to play Thirteen on my acoustic, beautiful song.

Also, Sci-fi Lullabies by Suede, the b-sides collection. Damn I should have got this 20 years ago, I loved early Suede and was familiar with My Insatiable One but had not heard other b-sides. The Bernard Butler songs are just go good, as good if not better than some of the 'proper' album tracks, and that's saying something.  Incredible guitar player; I find it very very difficult to work out his parts. Not so sure about the songs post Butler; I've never really got into Suede post Bernard.

Fuck me this guy is still at it? Wow...
Look all credit to him for having a go. One thing you can say for sure is at least he's consistent, and persistent...

In all honesty as much as I didn't like it, he's not a bad bass player. Could pass on the singing and the random hi hat clashing but if it was more a demo of just the bass on its own it coulda been pretty good.
