Have you thought about putting it on consignment somewhere appropriately high end?

I have thought about it yes. Would prefer a private sale but might start looking into other options.

  • How would the tone on this vary versus a Martin HD28... or HD28V... or D42?

@Strat_a_tat_tat I can't say I've ever compared them directly but all the models you mentioned are quite similar on paper, although the Collings probably has the edge with the Adirondack top. The CW and all other Clarence White models made by Santa Cruz, Martin etc are all based on a 1935 D-28. It's basically a monster dreadnought in that vein. The scalloped bracing and enlarged soundhole make it louder and clearer than a standard D-28 style and the Adirondack top sounds incredible and is super resonant. Hope that helps...

  • Hey Will, how's my old Clarence doing?  I miss that fantastic guitar even though I still have my D3H, OM2H and a 002H.  It's a fantastic dread that needs to be played often and hard to drive that heavy Adi top & keep it loose.  I've still got your 2011 Trad although it's taken a back seat to a CR8.   Would you have a good home for an anniversary PRS 513?

Hi Andy. Good to hear from you. Yes indeed it's fantastic but I've kept the OM2H as my main gigging acoustic and sadly don't use this enough to keep it. I'd love to do a deal with you but I'm just not a PRS guy, sorry. All the best.

So clearly the only sensible thing to do is swap your CW for my OM2H so you have a back up for your main axe :)
