Would you buy the G7 again?
Nope, I’d buy an Elliot and if it wasn’t a perfect match for the radius, I’d bend the top bar as per Elliot’s advice.

The trouble with the G7 is that the adaptive radius isn’t instantaneous. You tighten it, and then a few minutes later (usually halfway through a tune), it gives a little more and needs tightening again. You could avoid that by really cranking it to start off with but if I wanted to do that I’d buy a £20 Paige.

They issued a “Mk 2” insert to go behind the rubber this time made of a kind of pair nylon leaf springs which works better but still not perfect.

So yeah, I gave it a bloody good go but don’t really use it, sticking instead to my Elliots which, once dialled in to the radius, are perfect.
