Specialized Crosstrail Hybrid MTB/Road bike - sold

edited May 2018 in Misc £
Reduced from £180 to £150 for fretboarders. Going on the bay this weekend. No offers at this price. silly amount of bike for that money.

Selling this beastie as my road bike takes up most of my time these days and I still have an old hack MTB for when the mood takes me. This is far to good to have sat doing very little.

Condition is very, very good throughout; there are maybe two marks on the whole bike and a tiny mark to the saddle where a friend nudged it against brick wall.

superb all rounder, surprisingly quick on the road, more than capable for off road/ trails.

Frame size XL - see specialized size guide but i'm 6.2/6.3 ish and it's perfect. Would suite from 6.0 to 6.3 I would have thought.

24 speed Shimano Altus groupset,

Front suspension with lock out for road use.

Bar ends which are a great addition (& cost £40 from memory.)

I am quite obsessive when it comes to my bikes so this thing has been cleaned after every ride with muc off products.

Has just had a brake service at Rutland Cycles with invoice to prove so now has new cables etc.

full original owners pack with DVD etc and all paperwork since ownership.

Will come with 2 sets of tyres: one set of road semi slicks, one set of treaded mtb tyres, three spare innertubes and the bottle cage.

A superb all rounder that is as comfortable commuting to work as it is exploring off road.

Good deal.  I was tempted on Friday, but for two things. Firstly,  the frame size - although my motorbike's seat height is 33", I'm 5'10". :) Then I remembered having an old, unused mountain bike in the shed with a flat back tyre.

At the very least, this thread persuaded me to buy an inner tube on Saturday, look up how to change a rear wheel with derailleur on YouTube and I did it this afternoon, for the first time ever.

    GLWTS.

If you were near me I would buy it today, I'm currently having to redirect GAS funds to a bike and this ticks all the boxes. V. frustrating! Oh just noticed you might post, let me know!

An alternative to postage would be an early start with a cheap return train ticket - a half-day out without the spanners.
