Drummers - where are they?

What's Hot
Hi folks

I'm working on covers and would love to have decent drum tracks to play along to. What's a good way of finding drummers online who might record tracks for me?

Cheers,

Jon

It’s a fishing lure. For catching drummers.

I'd probably start by contacting some drummers and offering to pay them to record some tracks for you - google, and browse musician's classifieds on facebook, gumtree, join my band etc. Discount all the ones that don't have any recorded material to sell themselves, and contact the ones who's playing you like.

Thanks. I use Soundtrap sometimes so wondered if there was something like that where you could collaborate online. I’ve not had any joy on that one as the interface is a bit messy for contacting people.

Local drum teacher may have a youngster who'd record stuff for you. My co guitarist's boy was a Young Drummer of the Year finalist but is doing his GCSEs currently.

It is a fishing lure, plug type. fishing line is attached to the little loop in front of the eyes.  The white tongue on the front makes it dive steeply when pulled through the water.  Most will float back to the top if you stop pulling.  Main quarry is pike but any predatory fish will go for it as it simulates an injured fish or small animal.  Usual method of usage is to cast it close to a weedbed, reel in fast for a few seconds which causes it to dive, stop reeling until it surfaces and reel again.

Thanks. So what does it actually mean to say he streams live? I’d tell him when I wanted to play, and we’d do it live over the net?

He drums to order, live onto the Internet. I guess that you need to record it at your end.

TBH I don't see how that can work. You get sounds down but it is sounds and unlikely to be music. Playing with a drummer or other instrumentalist (in the same room) creates music. It may be inferior technically to the 'sounds' recording but more satisfying to listen to
