Q1:  Where did you username come from?

    It's my name. Well, mostly.

Q2:  Where in the world/country are you?

Bury in the very grey North-West.

Q3:  What's your main musical ambition?

Just to actually learn to play the guitar to a level that I can enjoy at home in the bedroom (preferably without annoying anyone, honest ;)).

Q4:  Your "best" bit of gear - just the one?

Probably the G&L Legacy Tribute that I picked up for a stupidly low price and never seems to go out of tune no matter how long I leave it lying around.

Q5:  Your #1 ever track - again, just the one?

Hmm, probably Wasted Years by Iron Maiden. Always seems to be the one which comes to mind.

Hello forum! Right, let's get to answering these questions:

Q1:  Where did you username come from?

A: It's my actual name. Not very original I know. Still, I am surprised it wasn't taken. :)

Q2:  Where in the world/country are you?

    A. West Yorks

Q3:  What's your main musical ambition?

Umm, I would ... like to write a song or piece of music that gains traction somewhere.

Q4:  Your "best" bit of gear - just the one?

Best in terms of quality? My Fender Mustang III amp, but in terms of my personal fave, probably my JazzMaster. It's a Squire, but I love it like it's a Fender.

Q5:  Your #1 ever track - again, just the one?

Presumably you mean recorded by someone else? :) I do love "Three Days" by Jane's Addiction. Such an epic scope to that song. But really, there are loads of #1 tracks.

Q2:  Where in the world/country are you? Sunny Croydon in Greater London or if you're being generous Surrey

Q3:  What's your main musical ambition?  Write  a decent second record that avoids the sophomore curse

Q4:  Your "best" bit of gear - just the one?  My Washburn WP-50 'lawsuit' Les Paul. My old man gave it to me. It rules.

Q5:  Your #1 ever track - again, just the one? Soma - Smashing Pumpkins. That solo....blimey.

Hey guys. I'm new here, and thought I'd say hi.

My name is Lee, and I'm from sunny Cardiff, Wales.

My username is quite boringly my name and initials.

My musical ambition is to be inspired. She is my master, and I shall comply.

My best piece of gear would have to be my Two Rock Jet 35 amp. Probably the best piece of gear I've ever owned.

    Favourite track ever? Impossible. Sorry.

Hi, my name's Tim, and I'm from Manchester, although I have been living in Miami, Florida for the last 16 years. My username is a diminutive Spanish form of my name - my wife is originally from Peru. I'm mainly an acoustic player, but I've branched out into electrics and even guitar synths in recent years. I've been through a number of Martins, Gibsons and Taylors, but my current favourite brand is Eastman, and I now own an E8D dread and an E100Ltd parlor size. These are phenomenal guitars. I don't gig, but I do home recordings and occasionally compose short pieces for my wife, who makes film clips from time to time. My preferred styles of play are fingerstyle blues, ragtime, Celtic, and the occasional standard. My musical ambition is to grow a backbone and play in public - anywhere - busking in the street would do me just fine!

    edited June 2018
Alan Broad, 46, been playing since I was about 15, but had a break from my mid 20's to mid 30's. Started in the 80's playing metal, have had stints playing garage punk (on bass), indie, blues, rock, pop, acoustic, and now finally back to the 80's metal.

Q1:  Where did you username come from?

Arjailer comes from me mishearing a Terence Stamp line in Superman 2 when I was about 10 years old - "we will kill the son of our jailer" - I thought he was saying that Superman's dad was called Arjailer. It stuck, and has made a unique username that I use all over the place now.

Q2:  Where in the world/country are you?

    Just outside Aberdeen, Scotland

Q3:  What's your main musical ambition?

Left real ambition behind a long time ago - these days I just want to play good songs with some friends.

Q4:  Your "best" bit of gear - just the one?

Probably my PRS SE Custom 22 - lovely guitar, though I don't play it so much these days since I got my Washburn Parallaxe, which isn't quite as nice, but is way more metal!

Q5:  Your #1 ever track - again, just the one?

Difficult, but probably Iron Maiden, 2 Minutes to Midnight - the track that got me into metal and I still love it.

    Hi everyone, I'm Peter

    1) a friend of mine tried texting me when he was drunk and spelled my name 'pio4t' instead of 'piotr'. It seemed so random and funny at the time that it stayed with me till today

    2) Northampton, UK

    3) Being able to improvise solos to every possible backing track

    4) Well, Although I've recently purchased a great 1997 Fender Strat, I still have my Epiphone SG which I bought new around 10 years ago and played some gigs with. Strat is better, but still like the SG...

    5) classics from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd...

    Alright guys?

I'm Joe Boult, hence the username, I'm a session guitarist based in the south of the UK, born and raised up North in Burnley.
My main ambition is to make enough money to do music full time, whether as a YouTuber, teacher, session guy, or any combination really. My main weapon is my 2016 HSH Fender Strat, which I absolutely cannot live without. Love all my gear and guitars, but that strat is too versatile to not love.
Favourite track... Tricky... It changes all the time, but right now Georgy Porgy by Toto. Especially the live version. The stabs just get me every time.
    See youse about!
