Tremolo Lubrication

What's Hot
Hi everyone, sorry this should probably be under maintenance or something but I didn't see that option. I've seen a load of tremolos that have parts that are seized up and rusted etc or very pitted, due to there being so many moving parts etc I would imagine it's quite important to lubricate threads and clean the metal parts to stop them pitting (i can feel some of the string lock screws on my Ibanez getting a bit stiff etc, my question is what should I use to lubricate and clean the parts of my tremolo and locking nut to stop them seizing up and pitting also should I lubricate the knife edges if so with what? cheers :)

    Clean - WD-40.

    Lubricate - 3-In-1.
