So open E, the chorus, B to A , that's not just barred chords is it? From B it seems to step up 3 times before falling back to the A chord, I cant get it, anyone play this?

Nuts. I confused the Black Crowes song title that interests you with a lyric snippet from She Talks To Rainbows - as recorded by both the Ramones and by Ronnie Spector.

    Google found this. http://guitaralliance.com/songs/B/black_crowes/she_talks_to_angels/
    Be seeing you.

That's the initial video I learned the song from, but if you look at how the Guitarist in the Unplugged video plays he plays some of it differently, the little run on the B string just before the singing starts is played up the fretboard somewhere.

That would be cool if it shows how the little run I was talking about above is played?

Im pretty sure the B and A chords arnt barred, they sound more open with open strings ringing, or is it me hearing it wrong?

Here you go, just made a quick and dirty vid for you...

Open E tuning, it is barred and he adds (what would be in standerd tuning) a B7 shape then an A7 shape.

dont forget they have two guitars and if the guitars are cappod at the second the other guy can play an open A and open G which will give a jangly open sound to the mix...

    Hope that sorts you out.

I've always played it 7x7700 and 5x5500 which, if not exactly right, is certainly closer than a full barre.

In this vid it looks like Rich plays it like that, using his thumb for the low E string. He also has the same strap as I have for my Strat, which is nice :)

And you're right re Open D in that first live vid. I assume they were doing something in open D that set as well so that's easier than re-tuning. I guess they didn't have the cash for a bazillion guitars offstage at that point either?

Got the tab book Mark, I will have a closer look later but first glance doesnt look like that little run in the video, its the riff 25 seconds into the unplugged video that I dont see on any tabs or tutorials, I guess I should just stop being lazy and figure it out.

Yeah that's what I was hearing, if you look he keeps his first finger planted so might be returning to that note, his pinky is working hard also.

It’s working hard to stay out of the way... watched it and can’t actually see it hit the fret board once!... could be wrong tho’
