I'm looking for a mic for putting my backline amp through the PA when playing live. The Superlux seems to get good reviews, both on Thomann and on other threads here. Is there any good reason to spend more than twice as much to get a Sennheiser e609?
https://www.thomann.de/de/superlux_pra_628_mkii.htmBased on the following comparison, I found the Sennheiser to have significantly more clarity and sparkle.
http://www.antonhunter.com/microphone-comparison/In this one however, they sound very similar - although being YouTube of course it's subject to heavy compression:
Can anyone who has used both of these comment on how they compare? And at the end of the day, is anyone going to notice the difference live?

A decent signal that sounds fine with little eq, I used to have a couple and only switched over to the sennheiser mics as customers have expectations - if it’s for your own gigs then theyll be fine.

If you get one, check the tightness of the two little screws which hold it together, my guitar suddenly started sounding very weird through the monitors a few gigs back because they'd come loose.
I do carry a couple of tiny Hercules stands that are handy for micing cabs and they tuck in close but you don’t have to use a stand.

Dangle it over the top and wrap the cable through and around the amp's handle so it's adjustable in height and you're good to go.
If it ever failed or broke then I might fork out for a 609 or 906 - but only because of the name.
Good tip about the screws from p90(he's no)fool above - I'll check mine next time it comes out of the gig bag.
