Not literally !  ....but do you ever have days when you just crave junk and eat sweets and pasties and other unhealthy shit all day?

I had one of those days today...  I ate (don't read any further if you're of a sensitive disposition!) ...a cold (cooked last night) Birds Eye chicken pie, followed by two slices of brown toast with marmalade and a mug of tea for breakfast.  A large-ish pork pie, a half tube of Pringles, a vanilla cream slice and a pint of Diet Pepsi for lunch.  For my evening meal, I've just had a sugar-free biscuit, the other vanilla cream slice and another pint of Diet Pepsi.

I will endeavour to eat healthily tomorrow.  Presuming I make tomorrow.

Confess your dietary sins.....
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
Also chips are "Plant-based" no matter how you cook them.

I dont get it personally. That stuff doesnt even taste good to me. I can finish a 3/4 bag of Kettles crisps on occasion and that's it really.
    Never drink fizzy drinks.

Currently trying to quit it all!

My usual routine is 16 cans of coke a week which is ridiculous.
The only easy day, was yesterday...

Look up videos of dental procedures and their prices. That’ll help. You might start getting targeted ads for PRS guitars though...

@Emp_Fab - take heart, at least your marmalade had some fruit in it.

Those birds eye chicken pies are quite nice. Junk food but quite nice. But cold for breakfast. Yuk.

Gall bladder, not stomach.  I'm waiting on a second ultrasound scan and have an outpatient appt on the 11th July.  I don't go off the rails often...  Just today I had this craving for junk.  I'll be good tomorrow...

Too right. I dread to think how much Pepsi Max I drank in 10+ years of cheffing. I actually didn't drink much alcohol during those years but fags and Pepsi... hhmmmmmmm.

    Whereas I had
    • For breakfast: a big sausage roll later followed by 2 small slices of brown bread with butter & marmite
    • For lunch: Thai food properly cooked*
    • For evening meal: 2 cucumber sandwiches from the brown bread referenced earlier

*I had chicken stir fry plus noodles with chicken ... but did you know the Thai word for Pork is Moo? I'd have thought that Moo would at least be Beef.

There was a point in my life when my standard Saturday/Sunday diet was a couple of bags of Kettle Chips, a box of five Sainsburys apple doughnuts and one of those big bags of Minstrels or Peanut M&Ms (or Mini Eggs when in season).

Then I got type 2 diabetes.

I'm doing the low carb thing so -

Breakfast - full fat Greek Yoghurt with handful of bluberries and strawberries
Snacking all day on babybells, pork scratchings and chorizo
Dinner - Riibeye steak with salad and a couple of coors lite

The snacks will be bad on any other diet but they are guilt free on this which is why I can stick on it

Low carbs but huge amount of fat in the Chorizo and babybells
Some unrefined carbs would be a lot better for you

If you're aiming for keto just keep an eye on the Greek yoghurt. Some brands can have a surprising amount of sugar in them.

The weird thing is that on this diet you need the fat for fuel, if you just ate lean stuff you'd be wiped out. Apparently the science is that the body is used to using fat for fuel but our diets have changed so much that we now use carbs instead.

@RedRabbit - agreed, the one we get is about 4g per 100g, we also chuck a tiny bit of Lizzis low sugar granola on top for texture - it makes a change from eggs and bacon. I've dropped below 13.5 stone now so have upped the carbs a bit, I'm probably eating about 50-60g per day atm.
