Sold: Original 1960 Gibson les paul junior double cut

Took me ages to find one this good, but we just haven't bonded fully, don't know why, despite it being a lovely example of a 1960 double cut away cherry les paul junior. However, my poor labrador now needs a new hip (arthritis) which will cost a fair bit and I've just bought a Frank Hartung Junico on this forum that has quenched my need for P90's.

I bought this about 9 months ago from Andy Hackett (Angel Music). He advised me that everything is original, aside from a recent re-fret (done with a nice set up by Andy Gibson of Denmark Street). Serial number is 011415 (in the photos the '0' it looks more like 'C' but it is slightly clearer '0' in the flesh). The cherry has faded a bit in places, still not too faded. Most of the wear is on the back of the neck as per photos, pretty decent condition aside from that - a few knocks and scratches here and there, which is pretty good for her age. No nasty neck or heel breaks. Neck is not too fat, not too thin and a thing of beauty. Weight on my bathroom scale is 6lb 8oz (guitar, not me!) so pretty light. Comes with original (and useless) cardboard case that unusually has all of its latches and works but I will also throw in a Hiscox SG hard case that fits this well that offers proper protection. Guitar sounds and looks lovely and fab to play, and is in pretty good condition given it is 58 years old.

The les paul and the junior logo are rather faint and hard to photograph - see 4th photo, will try and take a better one...

I'd really be worried posting this, so given the value and age of the guitar and the cardboard case, it is collection only (I live in East Finchley, North London, but can travel a bit - say 30 minutes drive or meet in central London). I'd also like the potential buyer to try her out and be happy with her prior to purchase. However, if you are keen and want to take the risk and can arrange your own courier then that's OK.
