So...I went looking for an old Schecter Strat in the H7 stash this evening.

Couldn't find it anywhere.

Eventually, Sod's law dictated that it was somewhere inaccessible... angry

Got there in the end though.

Well worth the wrestling match!

That looks like a md Philips nut right there

That vibrato system looks unique, not quite Floyd, fender or kahler. Is it stock?

The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

If only MDP made roller nuts...

    Re. Vibrato - yes, stock.

Have you ever done a guitar collection interview for the Guitar magazine? (Guitar&bass) It would be great to see some of your collection.

To be bookmarked by henpecked husbands everywhere and bought out at that moment in the argument when she says (waving arm in direction of stash) "All this stuff!.."

    Yes he has... :-)

LOVELY Schecter. I'm jealous. Many moons ago, we had similar guitar in the shop I worked at. Although that had a standard Strat trem. I think the roller nut may be non-original though... I've not seen one on a Schecter before. Are they the Tom Anderson designed pickups?
