    Reviving this relatively recent thread to see how fitting a dogear in a humbucker rout went @Marshall ? I was looking at the naff allparts one’s as @TheGuitarWeasel mentions. 

    Thibking is doing this to my Yamaha SA500 (given I’m selling my TVL) - I’ve seen a pic of someone having done it to this guitar before, looks neat enough though I’m aware I might need to do some routing!

    Although I've no doubt it's not too tricky to do, and Ash kindly offered to help with the shims, in the end I decided to have him make me a set of soapbars instead, which have just arrived so will be getting these loaded up shortly. Thanks Ash! Good luck with the project. ;)
