Stereo Output on Pedals with Wet/Dry

Hi all, probably a stupid question, but then, I am a stupid man, so QED...

If I have something like a rotary pedal/chorus with a wet/dry output and i put one output into the front end input of the amp and the other into the effects loop, will I be able to hear the two sounds without a dual amp setup (obviously I know I won't get the left/right effect as it's a single channel), or is there a different way and I'm being ridiculous.

EDIT: This would be in a Fender HRD.

Don't think so.

What will probably happen is that the signal connected to the amp input will be put through the effects loop.

Hang on - I misunderstood what you wrote. Apologies.

What you are intending is to make 2 inputs to the amp, one the usual input and the other the fx loop return. Yes?

Try it; it won't do what you want but shouldn't do any harm.

I think what will probably happen is that the amp will 'prefer' whatever is plugged into the fx loop return....

Anyone?

Yeah sorry, I shouldn't have alluded to "stereo" I did try to edit the subject line but couldn't.

If you plug the wet output into your amp instead of the wet/dry mono output, then plug a spare jack into the other output, what you'll hear is just the wet output. It's a neat way to get a pure vibrato sound out of a stereo chorus pedal.
