  Two hundred quid, divided by two. What sort of brand new electric guitar would you expect to get for one hundred quid?
  
  If it is the kit idea that appeals, perhaps, it would be wiser to get it for less?

  Kits can be a good base for building a guitar. My first build was a Tele kit that cost €68. After a pickup upgrade and a good setup it's a great guitar. But not all kits are as good - hence my question.
