    Thought i'd just share this.....

I lost my packet of Bone nuts yesterday. I couldn't find them anywhere, was sure i'd put them back in my parts drawers, no luck, I went all round the house, cursing myself for being such a forgetful ass...and resolved myself to going and ordering some more online.

Just walking back out to the workshop and I see something glisten and catch my eye in the dog's bed....

    "AND WHAT ARE THESE???!"

Cue a rather sheepish looking Wilf....

How he'd got them is anyones guess, he could have bleedin' choked himself but at least he's confirmed they are bone I suppose....

Right, so I managed to get the nitro flatted back today and couldn't resist getting the guitar 'dressed' for some very light ageing and weather checking....

As this is the first 'official' Ivison '59 DC with the coin logo it gets the first serial number in 50's font:

The control cavity plate gets the celluloid material too, hand cut and just a little different from the usual black but I like to think it adds a little 'He's thought about this' touch

I really love how the cherry filler brings out the neck grain here:

All in all, i'm pretty chuffed with this one!

But I know what you're thinking, and yes, I agree...I should have weeded my patio.....

Wow that’s just fantastic everything about it is just spot on.  I’d be a happy guy with a junior like that.

    Looking great!
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Well maybe you ought to have weeded your patio, but I just weeded my pants looking at your beautiful 59 Junior DC. And after I said I didn't need another Junior...
