Drumists.... advice please.

Hi all
My Son is 8 in September and he’s recently been to a drumming school for a day in the Summer Holidays. I want to buy him some drumsticks but want to get him some nice ones. Any advice greatly received....ta muchly

Any 5a stick should do it.
I wouldn't go for anything heavier at that age.

It is a bit like using the N word, it is fine for drummers to refer to themselves as drummists, but not for non-drummers.

I currently use pro mark and vater. Started with Vic firth which are I guess the most famous brand and found I was breaking alot..spoke with the drummer in my main band who has been drumming for like 25 years and he reckons Vic firths have taken a quality dive for the past 5 years or so.

I’ve been enjoying the Ahead Lars Ulrich sig sticks recently so I’m going to suggest those. Plus they look quite cool and Lars will be your friend for life.
I made the Lars/friend bit up... but they are nice sticks.

I’ve done the deed... I’ve ordered some 5A sticks from Amazon.....Nothing fancy, as they’ll only end up being used as some sort of Lego Ninjago model....
