Lady BMcH has not entirely and unambiguously ruled out the idea of a mild midlife crisis car.
I therefore invite your suggestions as to something impractical but either fun or somehow special. It needs to accommodate me and my work bag; it ought to have air conditioning and heated seats. It will be used for going to the office once a week and going to the station once or twice a week. The existing Sporkmobile will be retained for taking Sprocket to the woods, carrying large things, and going on holiday.
I have already considered a Bristol, the new Alpine A110 and a recent Jaguar XK.

In which case go for a Merc SLK - or a Morgan.......
Of course, that's only if you ignore Tesla as a possibility.

I do like the gentleman's grand tourer idea, hence the Bristol or XK. I had a look at a Ferrari 456M but running it would be absolutely daft - lucky to get 10mpg out of it. The Bristol isn't a lot better...
Arial Nomad is as close to a motorbike as I'd consider. Fundamentally I don't want to have to get changed to use it.
is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?
I know what i'm talking about - i used to have a Vauxhall Tigra so i'm an expert on hairdresser cars
MX-5 - I do like the look of the Fiat one. And it has a turbo. Turbos are good.
And also a nod to the BMW 435 convertible, which has enough power to be a little bit silly when called for, a roof that makes it feel like a sensible car when it's raining but the ability to mess up your hair whenever it isn't raining.
