Being properly hollow, they feedback fro fun, but controlling that is all part of the experience and it can be controlled and used to mighty effect.
Oh and they weigh nuffink’ too
Personally I’d be *extremely* happy with a 330 plus a couple of pedals and either of those amps.
Or as he'd put it 'Feedback, schmeedback'.
What colour?
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself
Overall, I preferred the 330's tone and it got the sound I was looking for dead on. The feedback was an issue though, as the 330 would howl if given a chance. The 335 had plenty of feedback too, but it was more controllable and not as much of an issue - feedback on demand, rather than all of the time.
Both played more or less the same, but the tailpiece on the 330 gave it much more of an acoustic quality combined with the full hollow body.
Both cherry. The 335 was by far the more gorgeous finish and wood of the two - by quite some margin.
Originally, I was sold on the 330 as tone > looks and agreed on buying it. I had a deal in place for both of them to be the same price, so that wasn't a factor.
After a pint around the corner and mulling it over (I like to consider my stuff at a distance), I went back and switched to the 335, which I'm having HB sized P90s put into and have a bigsby on to give it some of that tailpiece jangle.
It all came down to feedback when I want it, rather than fighting it. I do still think about that 330 though
I don't find the feedback that bad, sure you can get it to do what you describe - but it's controllable pretty easily with string muting etc when you get used to it.
Sound of the 330 is very different though, the bridge can AC/DC rock, but for me it's forte is cleaner than that - when it's wonderful and light, airy etc.
Acoustically the 330 is much louder and that comes through.
For me the 335 sits between a 330 and Les Paul and can do close to either
I usually use an LP, so the P90s were something a bit different. Was also looking at a ES 137, so kinda found the 335 to be in the middle ground.
